As of 12 October 2026, the sale with dates confirmed on its own page is Flipkart's Big Billion Days: early access on Thursday 8 October and general access from Friday 9 October. Amazon India announced an 8 October start for its Great Indian Festival 2026, as Outlook Business reported on 22 September, but we could not open Amazon's own page and no end date is announced.
Nykaa and Myntra have not announced their next sales, so the table gives last year's dates as the pattern.

Republic Day 2027 falls on Tuesday 26 January, so a January sale is likely to start in the week or two before it, if last year is a guide. Treat that as a pattern, not a promise.
What do we know about Flipkart Big Billion Days and Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026?
Flipkart's own Big Billion Days page lists early access from 8 October 2026 for eligible Flipkart Plus members, VIP members and select Flipkart co-branded credit card holders, and general access from 9 October. We did not find an end date there, so check the app before you assume the sale is still running.
For Amazon, Outlook Business reported on 22 September 2026 that Amazon India had announced an 8 October start for the Great Indian Festival 2026. Several shopping sites also reported Prime early access from 7 October, but the two such reports we read (last updated on 2 and 5 October) did not quote an Amazon announcement, and the Outlook Business report does not mention early access, so keep 7 October as unconfirmed.
Amazon's own pages would not load for us when we checked. No closing date has been announced.
Early access is a membership perk, not a different sale. If you are not a member, general access starts a day later, and last year's sales show the same shape: both platforms opened on 23 September 2025, with members getting in from 22 September.
When are Black Friday, Pink Friday and Myntra's year-end sale?
Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026, because it follows the US Thanksgiving on Thursday 26 November. Some Indian retailers and brands run offers around it, but there is no single national event, so the dates and the shops differ.
Nykaa Pink Friday has not been announced as of 12 October 2026. Last year Nykaa's own page said it ran from 21 to 30 November 2025, starting at 4 pm on the first day. Myntra's End of Reason Sale comes twice a year. The summer edition in 2026 was announced for 29 May to 14 June, according to Myntra's blog post of 28 May. The winter edition in 2025 started on 5 December.
Myntra announced it in a press release dated 2 December 2025, three days before the start, with VIP access on 4 December, and its blog post followed on 4 December. If that happens again, the winter 2026 sale may be confirmed only days before it opens.
How do you prepare before any sale?
A sale rewards the person who decided what to buy before it started. A little preparation beats hours of scrolling.
Build a wishlist and set a ceiling
List the things you were going to buy anyway, in order of need, and put a total next to the list. Anything not on the list stays out of the basket. This is the single habit that stops a sale from becoming a spending spree.
Check the price history
Note the price of each item a few weeks before the sale, or use a price tracker that shows past prices. A price is only a good one if it is lower than what the same item cost last week, not lower than a struck-out figure.
Know the return window
Open the return policy on the product page before you pay. The window and the rules differ by seller and by category, and some items, such as innerwear, cosmetics and customised products, can have stricter terms. If you cannot find the policy, do not buy.
Treat bank offers with caution
Card offers usually come with conditions: a minimum spend, a particular card, a cap on the benefit and a limited window. Read the terms, and check the final basket price at checkout rather than the banner. Never buy something you do not need just to qualify for an offer.
Spot fake-discount traps
Be wary of an "original" price the item may never have sold at, and of countdown timers and stock counters designed to make you rush. Compare the final price, with delivery and any extra fees, across two or three shops. Our Black Friday guide goes into the traps in more detail.
What is worth planning around a sale, and what is not?

Dates that are not announced today will appear later, often a few days before the start. Three habits help:
- Save your wishlist inside each app, so you get a notification when a sale opens.
- Check each platform's own sale page, not a third-party tracker. Trackers repeat rumours, and some give dates that conflict with each other.
- Come back to this page. The table above shows which dates are still open, so you know what to look out for.
