Accessibility: making Readers Ride usable by everyone
Our commitment to an accessible Readers Ride, the standards we aim for, known limits and how to report a problem.
We want everyone to be able to read Readers Ride, whatever device, ability or connection they have.
Last updated: 11 October 2026.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In practice we design for:
- readable text sizes and strong colour contrast;
- pages that work with a keyboard alone and with screen readers;
- images with meaningful descriptions;
- pages that adapt to phones and tablets, and respect your device's reduced-motion setting;
- fast pages that work on slower mobile connections.
Known limits
We are a new site and we are still checking every page. Some older articles may have image descriptions that are shorter than they should be, and embedded third-party content may not meet the same standard. We are fixing these as we find them.
Tell us about a problem
If you cannot use part of the site, email [email protected] with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within five working days and to fix problems quickly.
