Editorial Policy: how Readers Ride researches and corrects
How Readers Ride researches, writes, reviews and corrects its articles, how we use AI tools, and how we handle health, money and religion.
You should know how what you read here is made. This page explains how we research, who reviews what, how we handle money, and how we fix mistakes.
Our independence
We choose what to cover by what readers need to decide, not by what pays. We earn from affiliate commissions and, in future, advertising. Commercial relationships never change which products we recommend or how we rank them. We label sponsored content and affiliate links on the page.
How we research a buying guide
- We list the questions a buyer needs answered: how it works, who it suits, what it costs to run, what goes wrong.
- We compare specifications from manufacturers and read the published owner reviews that report problems after months of use, not just on delivery day.
- We check warranty and after-sales service coverage in India.
- We give price bands rather than exact prices, because shop prices change daily.
Unless an article says otherwise, we have not tested the products ourselves. When we have, we say so and describe what we did.
Health and wellness content
Articles on health, pregnancy and baby care are general information, not medical advice. Our health articles are written from published guidance (for example from the NHS, the WHO and India's ICMR-NIN dietary guidelines), and each one lists its sources with the date we read them. They have not been reviewed by a named doctor, and we do not say they have. Pregnancy and baby articles stay out of search engines until a qualified doctor has reviewed them. If you have a medical condition, or symptoms that worry you, speak to a doctor.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help with research, outlines, first drafts and some illustrations. Every article is read, fact-checked and edited by a person before it is published. Illustrations created with AI are labelled as such, and we do not use AI images to show real places, real products or real people.
Photographs
We use licensed photography. Photographs are illustrative unless a caption says otherwise.
Corrections
If we get something wrong we correct it, and we note significant changes on the page. To report a mistake, email [email protected] with the page address and what needs fixing.
