It has been three years since the Indian public selected BJP to form the government. The party came with loads of promises and we have seen some of the most daring decisions made in the past three years. However, now is a time to get a reality check on how much has actually changed under the rule of the BJP government?
In accordance with a survey by India Today, about 60% of the population is actually happy with the new governance.
The same survey also shows that the dissatisfaction with government has grown from 36% to 39% in the past 3 years.
Despite promises and speeches on woman safety, the instances of violence against women have gone up. It was 41.7% in 2012 and 54% 2015.
On a brighter side, the number of people living under the poverty line has actually reduced by 45 million.
The employment of women has dropped by 1%.
The total number of jobs created has gone down by 39%.
Caste and communal related violence have risen than the previous year.
The amount allocated to education has certainly increases which stand as a positive point.
