According to the recent news, RBI will soon start circulation of one rupee notes that are pink-green in color. It will bear the symbol of rupee and will be printed by Government of India.
Presently one rupee coins are minded. The note of 1 rupee was previously in circulation that was discontinued in 1994 but again started in 2015.
The RBI issues a notice saying the circulation will soon begin. The note will bear signature of Shaktikanta Das who is the Secretary in the Ministry of Finance. The other notes in circulation bears RBI Governor’s signature.
On the reverse side of the note the year of circulation will be printed i.e. 2017.
Though the date is not confirmed but soon we will see a new 1 rupee note doing rounds in the market.
