It looks pretty old. Right? Well, that is what anyone will conclude.
In reality, these pictures are taken by Jacqueline Roberts in the digital era. She is a Spanish artist who has created the series of pictures reviving the look of 19th Century.
Her work is not a mere revival of the bygone era. It is also a portrayal of the psychological and emotional journey of children into adolescence.
The techniques she used in transforming the pictures certainly give you an eerie feeling. The technique used in 1851 to get these kinds of images was known as Collodion.
She is a self-taught artist who loves experimenting with style and technique of her pictures.
Her reason being the series of the picture is very unique. She wanted to establish the fact that there is also a different side to children. They are not always as cute and innocent as they are always portrayed.
She mainly loves capturing the rawness of the children standing in the transitional period.
Each of the pictures she captured will certainly captivate you and hold your attention for long.
