India has created history by topping the medal tally for the 1st time by beating China at the Asian Athletics Championship 2017.
Our country sealed a total of 29 medals, out of which 12 are gold, 5 are silver and 12 are Bronze.
This was a 4 day championship hosted in Bhubaneshwar. On the final day, India got to the top of the Medals Tally List by beating China which is in the 2nd position, with 20 medals (8 gold, 7 silver and 5 bronze).
All Indian Athletes gave their career best performance at the Asian Championship. On day one itself, India had bagged a total of 7 medals sending positive vibes to Indian Fans. Then, on the 2nd day, our country bagged 8 medals, thus taking the total number of Medals to 15. Since then, India has been dominating on the top of the charts.
On the 3rd position is Kazakhstan with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals. It’s the first time that India has topped this medals list since 1973. Let’s have a look at the complete list.
