Last year, Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment inked a long-term deal with Netflix giving them exclusive access to SRK’s past as well as forthcoming films. And now SRK’s production house and the streaming giant have joined hands to produce an original series.
Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix India announced their first original series, “Bard of Blood” at an event in Hyderabad today. The political espionage series is based on the book of the same name written by the young Indian author, Bilal Siddiqi. The eight-episode series which has been planned to be made in Hindi, English, Urdu and other languages, is said to have never-seen-before high octane actions.
Set against the backdrop of the Indian subcontinent, the multilingual series will tell the story of an expelled spy, Kabir Anand who is recalled from his new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani to save his country and a long-lost love. It’s said to be a suspense thriller that takes you on a thrilling journey from the power corridors of RAW to the war-torn terrain of Balochistan.
PS:- With this announcement, it’s being speculated that SRK might also star in the series. However, a source from Red Chillies Entertainment confirmed to us that SRK will not be a part of it as an actor. Stay tuned Asian Style Magazine for further information.
